Symptoms

The game setup starts as intended. But if you launch the game from steam or the game setup, you get stuck in the first frame, which asks the language to chose. At this moment, no input seems to be accepted, neither from the mouse, keyboard or the controller. You can't get past this screen, so the game is completely unplayable. By looking at reports on ProtonDB, it seems to happen on a wide range of hardware, and the issue is the same in every report.
