Hello @thingsiplay, this request is for a hypothetical system completely outside of Steam or the Proton project. If this were to be implemented, it'd be entirely Valve-internal and not open to public feedback.
Realistically, there's nothing for a Proton dev to do with this suggestion. Closing as not planned.
Nothing extracted yet.
Feature Request
I confirm:
contain this feature already.
Description
Detect if a game is played a lot (probably with achievements unlocked) under Linux through Proton. If it has many players and lot of playtime, then we can assume that the game is at least Playable. There could be an asterisk and an explanation that this was automatically assigned rating:
Playable*
Justification
This could help with new and old games, especially those untested. Or if any change happened that made a previously playable game unplayable or vice versa. It can help Valve to cut down a bit of work, find changes quicker and can help the user too.
