Symptoms

With Proton 10.0-1 (Experimental as of 2025-05-23), this version of Proton causes flickering objects and transparent walls in the game.

The issue appears to be a regression, as Proton 9.0-4 behaves as expected; no more flickering objects or transparent walls as you can see below

Reproduction

Just enable Proton 10.0-1 (Experimental as of 2025-05-23) on Contraband Police, issues are noticeable right from the Tutorial.

Note that although the game's Proton status is currently unsupported, the game is playable, supports controllers and the developers are working on Steam Deck verification :)

For reference, here’s a link to the Steam discussion where another Proton user, this time not using a Steam Deck but running Linux Mint, reports having the same issue, which led me to suspect a possible regression.
