Played the earlier parts of the game and didn't see these specks. Can you share a save file for chapter 2?
Sure here is a save file:
TheQuarry.zip
It goes into
/steamapps/compatdata/1577120/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/
At the main menu select:
Chapter Select > Single Player > The Game Complete file > Chapter 2
After loading it up it will bring you to this scene:

Notice the glitches on Emmas shirt 00:23 onwards
@AwesamLinux no issues here with my rdna2 card. Given the fact that you have issues with this and post trauma (which launches fine for me), can you try and see if a newer mesa version has the same issues for you?
Thanks for testing it out. I tried with most recent Mesa git (Mesa 25.2.0-devel) and that seems to have fixed the graphical issues.
So I'm closing this issue as it was a driver issue, including the logs here of running the game successfully just in case for future reference:

steam-1577120-proton-9.0-4f.log
systeminfo.txt
(I also got Post Trauma working, but that issue was caused by a corrupt file)

I confirm:
Symptoms
The game has graphical glitches if SSAO is enabled. There is light or dark blotches flickering like this:

and also sometimes what looks like some texture flickering.
Disabling SSAO in the settings the game appears to be rendered correctly.

I noticed several reports on ProtonDB mentioning graphical glitches and various workarounds. I tried forcing DX11, Vulkan and LLVM but it made no difference. Only turning off SSAO fixes the issue
Maybe this is a Mesa driver issue, however I did see some reports on ProtonDB from Nvidia users too.
