Description
Many Linux amd users from my channel and Reddit have expressed the desire to have these features on their amd GPUs on Linux, to enhance the gaming experience either it be making any game have frame gen or automatically lower the fps when the game is idle to save power.
Justification [optional]
This will enhance the users experience and bring amd on par with windows, amd anti lag seems to be getting support soon so adding these onto the list would be awesome to see, also nvidia recently added their frame gen support in their drivers so you can apply it to any game so in terms of competition amd and possibly proton should be focusing on adding this in the future.
Risks [optional]
Maybe some bugs idk but overall these are important features for the gamers.
I guess Radeon chill and AFMF are proprietary so it would require amd to open source it or make a whole new one that is open source.
Hello @pollux78, there's no point in making a feature request towards Proton for a video driver feature. This needs to be implemented in the video driver.
