Symptoms

The ball is changing colors; it's yellow while in free play and either blue or green during a match. When you're up close to the ball it might become white with yellow triangle particles.

Symptoms

This is on a Manjaro (Optimus) laptop (MSI Cyborg 15 A12VF) with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 Mobile.

The game is launched with prime-run %command% and runs perfectly (120-140 FPS), confirming the NVIDIA dGPU is in use.

However, the game hard-freezes (process hangs) 100% of the time when joining an online multiplayer match. The rest of the OS remains responsive.

This appears to be a specific conflict between EasyAntiCheat (EAC), the NVIDIA driver on an Optimus setup, and Proton, as the freeze only triggers when EAC activates for multiplayer.

(Note: The attached Steam System Info Gist incorrectly shows the Intel iGPU as the primary driver, as is common for hybrid graphics laptops, but the game is definitely running on the NVIDIA dGPU, confirmed by the high FPS).

Reproduction

  1. Launch REMATCH (AppID 2138720) on a Manjaro/NVIDIA Optimus laptop using prime-run %command%.
  2. Get high FPS in the menus (120+), confirming the dGPU is active.
  3. Join any online multiplayer match.
  4. The game will freeze during the loading screen.

Hi, commenting here with an issue. IDK if this is the right place or if it needs to be posted here at all, feel free to ignore/remove
I cannot get my Steam Controller (2026) to work after either some game, proton, DE or Steam update. It did work fine for a few weeks before.

PC Specs:

  • GPU: RTX 4080
  • Driver: nvidia-610.43.02
  • Kernel: 7.0.12-arch1-1
  • System information: Gist
  • Proton versions tested: Proton Experimental Bleeding Edge, Proton-Cachyos-11-20260601-x86-64-v3

Additional info

  • Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma 6.7 Wayland
  • Distribution: up-to-date Arch Linux

Symptoms

When launching the game with my steam controller on, I get no input.
Turning the controller on and off again in the menu, turn it into a keyboard-mouse (both sticks and both trackpads move the mouse, D-pad is arrow keys and face buttons are random).
I also manually enabled the 'remote control' permission in System Settings -> Application permissions for Steam and Proton (all versions listed in the relevant System Settings page). Also enabled 'control pointer and keyboard' option for 'Legacy X11 Apps'

EDIT: Controller works in other games (Hades 2, for example)
