Symptoms

The game doesn't start, nothing happens without black screens, it's visible in Steam that I start playing but the game doesn't appear, and that I've already tried (access rights, Vulkan drivers, reinstallation, different versions of Proton)

Reproduction

Steps to play:

Install Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition on Steam.

Make sure you have the 32-bit Vulkan and NVIDIA drivers installed (e.g. libnvidia-gl-535:i386).

In the game properties, under the Compatibility tab, select Proton Experimental or Proton 8.0-5.

Click the Play button.

Expected result:

The game launches successfully.

Actual result:

The game does not launch, the game window does not appear.

No error message is displayed in the Steam console.
