I played though the entire game with no issues.
Proton: 3.7-8
Nvidia: 1070
Ubuntu: 18.04
Steam Controller also worked perfectly with default settings.
[x] that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.
The game fails to launch. I suspect it's because of Galaxy.dll (I could be wrong), but setting a native override for it doesn't resolve the problem.
What's strange about this is that Vanilla Wine 10.3 (with DXVK 2.6) is capable of at least reaching the main menu, but freezes on the first loading screen when starting a new game save.
I only own the game on GOG, so this is an issue for me.
It should also be noted that, at least with Vanilla Wine 10.3, attempting to run the game in a 32-bit prefix breaks all future attempts to run the game (even with new prefixes) for the rest of the desktop session. I've got absolutely no idea why because it makes no sense, but doing so requires a reboot of the system to even reach the main menu with a 64-bit prefix again.
(Personally, I used Heroic to install the game since it has direct integration with GOG; from there, it has Steam Runtime support for Proton specifically to maintain the same level of compatibility with running through Steam itself.)
