I confirm:

  • [ x ] that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • [ x ] that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

  1. Controller powers off after 5 seconds of inactivity.
  2. Controller disconnects when launching Steam, but reconnects and works after being manually powered on again.
  3. Input works correctly in system test apps and within the Steam Big Picture interface.
  4. Crucial: Input fails only within games using Proton (Ex: Cyberpunk 2077, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3).

Reproduction

Tests Performed (Without Success on Broken Kernel):

  1. Altered udev rules (to force X-Input recognition).
  2. Applied blacklist hid_nintendo (to prevent driver conflict).
  3. Steam Input configured and tested in all available modes (Enabled/Disabled/Forced).4. Crucial Test: The controller input WORKS 100% when booting the system using the older kernel: 6.14.0-33-generic.

Hello @unitynoplay, there's not much for a Proton dev to ponder with an undefined kernel regression. This is something that should be reported to and evaluated by the kernel dev(s).
