The same drag and drop issue is also fixed in Waterpark Simulator (3293260) in Proton Experimental [bleeding-edge]. 👍🏻
Hi. So wanted to share that after starting the crew motorfest, and playing for 5 -6 minutes, it says an error occurred.

Same problem, only occasionally can I play for a long time, if you hang up and return to the login screen, the error will pop up again after playing for about 3 minutes and return to the login screen
Friendly reminder that this issue report is for new regressions between Proton 10.0-2 and the 10.0-3 release candidate. Any feedback for games that are affected regardless of Proton version is off-topic here. Please use the compatibility report for the individual games to discuss everything that isn't a confirmed regression in the release candidate.
The 10.0 release candidate breaks the window resizing in Brighter Shores. It works as intended on the current 10.0-2 beta.
Steps to replicate (I'm using Sway):
What it looks like before and after going fullscreen on 10.0-2 beta/9.0-4:
What it looks like after returning from fullscreen on 10.0 release candidate/experimental:

@Limero Thank you for the report! I've updated the 10.0-3RC version to RC8; please let me know if that fixes this regression for you?
I'm also curious - do you see the same behavior on Proton - Experimental right now? I suspect I know what commit is causing the issue, and we are working to fix it, and it has been removed from the new RC version.
Unfortunately I was unable to reproduce your issue directly, likely because of some sway customization I don't have, so if would be extremely helpful if you could retest this (and possibly give me some more info if you can still reproduce on experimental) :)
@alasky17 Latest 10.0 beta RC fixes the problem :)
I'm still able to replicate the issue with latest Experimental. I'm using Fedora Sway Atomic 42, Steam installed through Flathub and all my dotfiles are on Github. Let me know if you need any more information, I'll also happily test again, if needed.
@Limero Thank you for the details! I'm not surprised you can still repro on experimental right now. I'll let you know when we push something that might (hopefully) fix your issue 🤞
I've reported a crippling issue for both Proton 10 and Experimental, with no official reply for months. Multitasking is made completely impossible on Steam Deck, either by the mouse not working in other apps while a game is running, or all in-game input shutting down even after returning from a separate window where the mouse actually worked. https://github.com/valvesoftware/proton/issues/8967
Regression in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) (1250410), game crashes on launch.
Game crashes shortly after launching when using Proton 10.0-3. Works as expected on Proton 10.0-2 and fixed in Proton Experimental.
I'm running Flatpak Steam. Nvidia driver version 580.105.08.
I don't see anything useful in logs but attaching them just in case.

@Lioli7k Thank you for the report! It turns out we happened to use a vkd3d-proton tag with that regression, which we try to avoid when possible. (That is why it is already fixed on experimental.)
Using Bluetooth controller (Xbox) loses connectivity when an advanced keyboard function is used such as disable trackpad during any game, it also loses connection after standby resume. Both scenarios work fine on 9.04
@timslab101 Could you give some more details? What do you mean by "advanced keyboard function is used such as disable trackpad" - is this a feature you are using on a laptop with a built-in trackpad? Could you give some specific shortcut(s) as well as more information so that someone could try to reproduce this scenario?
Please copy your system information from Steam (Steam -> Help -> System Information and Steam -> Help -> Steam Runtime Diagnostics) and put each in a gist, then include a link to the gists in this issue report.
Also:
Yes I am using an Asus Rog Zephyrus g14 laptop with built in trackpad. The keyboard shortcut for me is FN F10 to disable the trackpad. The game controller is Xbox Elite 2, connected by bluetooth.
My game is currently Cyberpunk 2077 but it occurs in any game I play, such as Forza Horison 4, Borderlands 3, Everspace 2.
GIST link is here for the Steam diagnostics and game logs that I gathered while causing the disconnect issue:
https://gist.github.com/timslab101/5dc93bfd0e1da5957abf6b5737124372
@timslab101 Thank you for the info! I realized I forgot to ask - you said you also get the disconnection from "standby resume" -- what exactly are you doing to trigger standby mode and to resume? That could mean several things 😅
No problem - I close the laptop lid, or choose standby by the power options. I reopen the laptop, reconnect the Xbox controller by Bluetooth; the game refuses to recognise the controller is connected until the game is restarted.
All of this works fine if I go back to v9 by the way
Just confirmed this also happens with the Xbox official USB dongle as well
I also observed that changing the screen brightness causes the same issue, with the xbox elite 2 controller connected either by bluetooth or USB, changing the brightness by FN+F8 of FN-F7 makes the controller disconnect until the game is relaunched.
I captured the game log, it is here:
https://gist.github.com/timslab101/cf32e367c0fe0558ade2aa156c9284b7
As a comparison I have captured the game log using Proton 9.0-4 where the controller does not disconnect under the same circumstances (brightness up and down, trackpad enable disable)
https://gist.github.com/timslab101/5c6710ae313173f91113b6f81496f5d9
I hope all of that helps!
Thanks - Tim

Hey all!
We've put together a new Proton 10.0 Release Candidate build for you to test.
In the Steam client the Proton 10.0 app should have a
release-candidatebeta branch (look for Proton 10.0 in your Steam Library, right click -> Properties... -> BETAS) which you can choose to start testing the 10.0-3 Release Candidates (note that the name of the build in the Steam Settings dialog will not be updated). I will post changes here when we push new builds. The source for the latest RC build is available on the proton_10.0-rc branch in this repository. This branch may be force pushed. We are interested only in issues that are new to the 10.0-3 RC builds. If you believe that something broke please confirm that the problem does not occur with 10.0-2 (the "none" beta branch) before reporting it here.
The changelog is tentative - it has not yet been verified by our QA staff, and can change before the final release as we add or remove features during RC testing.
Most if not all of the fixes listed below were deployed previously via Proton Experimental or Proton Hotfix. Appropriate Proton version was used automatically on a game basis on the Steam Decks. This release stabilizes those changes after extensive testing.
