Symptoms

Main game and content manager both experiencing freezing after selection from launcher
Main game freezes in menu within seconds of starting
Content manager's main window also freezes within seconds, although scroll bar UI, drop downs and top bar menus have partial functionality. Content manager will provide exactly one update to the main window when resized. Items in the main window are rarely interact-able.

Reproduction

Select either the main game or the content manager from the launcher.
