Exact same problem running the game with any Proton version using Steam Flatpak on Fedora Silverblue

Anyways, game plays great on Steam Deck out of the box. I've noticed just a few missing fonts in menus where I had to blindly press buttons.
Also tested with Bazzite gnome-deck in gamemode and it works fine
But using Bazzite gnome desktop mode it does not work
Maybe error is related to gamescope or resolution mode?
SteamDeck=1 %command% as a launch option managed to resolve the issue for me. It looks like the game whitelists this check somewhere.
@nicobm Can you confirm on your end as well?

I posted this solution on Steam discussion thread. Sorry to not posted it here as well.
It absolutely works in Bazzite gnome desktop using SteamDeck=1 %command%
I assume this is the same on Silverblue and any desktop.
Hoping for a Proton hotfix or something soon with that argument.

Symptoms
The game hangs on a black screen after the initial developer logos displayed on game start. Does not appear frozen, but will not progress to the title screen or any point further. Issue appears to NOT happen on Steam Deck or Steam OS, but is a reoccurring issue on several other Linux setups. Issue may possibly be related to the two .mp4 video files that are both the developer logos and the following (what is SUPPOSED to load after the black screen) and the standard title/attract scene video, but these do not look like codec options that usually cause issues with Proton.

Reproduction
Boot the game as normal and then attempt to progress pass the developer logos on game startup (not inputs required)
