I have currently opted in the beta and using proton 10.0-3 in Cyberpunk 2077. As this RC build is updated to vkd3d-proton v3.0b, does that mean it supports FSR4 now?
I have tried the dll swaps from dlls I got from latest SDK v2.1: https://gpuopen.com/amd-fsr-upscaling/ as well as the amdxcffx64.dll in system32 from amd adneraline 25.12.1-win11 drivers.
I have this as Launch Options: PROTON_FSR4_UPGRADE=1 %command%
Still no luck sadly.
My PC is this:
Sorry I am still new to linux and proton so I don't have any debug file or anything to provide here. Hoping someone can help me or guide me in the right direction.
New Release Candidate is now live. We bumped the wine-mono version from 10.4.0 to 10.4.1 to avoid a rendering regression that was impacting several games including the Elite Dangerous launcher.

I believe this is an env var only available on PROTON-GE and other derivates, so it will have no effect with normal proton versions.

Aah then how can we use FSR4 with Steam's Proton versions?
Another release candidate bump - we reverted a commit that was causing a white screen rendering issue with the Rockstar Launcher until we could get to the bottom of it.

It's not really supported as we don't redistribute relevant, proprietary AMD DLLs as of now.
Ffrr

If you know and/or are allowed to say, what are the obstacles from doing that? Is it AMD keeping things proprietary, or are there some other issues at play?

Hey all!
We've put together a new Proton 10.0 Release Candidate build for you to test.
In the Steam client the Proton 10.0 app should have a
release-candidatebeta branch (look for Proton 10.0 in your Steam Library, right click -> Properties... -> BETAS) which you can choose to start testing the 10.0-4 Release Candidates (note that the name of the build in the Steam Settings dialog will not be updated). I will post changes here when we push new builds. The source for the latest RC build is available on the proton_10.0-rc branch in this repository. This branch may be force pushed. We are interested only in issues that are new to the 10.0-4 RC builds. If you believe that something broke please confirm that the problem does not occur with 10.0-3 (the "none" beta branch) before reporting it here.
The changelog is tentative - it has not yet been verified by our QA staff, and can change before the final release as we add or remove features during RC testing.
Most if not all of the fixes listed below were deployed previously via Proton Experimental or Proton Hotfix. Appropriate Proton version was used automatically on a game basis on the Steam Decks. This release stabilizes those changes after extensive testing.
