Hello @St-Sendmore, removing your Vulkan driver followed by re-installing the exact same driver version implies that there was an issue with apt or the root filesystem. There shouldn't be a real difference, but it's hypothetically possible that something odd happened with the Steam Linux Runtime that just needed it to try again. Since you knocked it back into alignment somehow, there's nothing to investigate here.

Game launched via compatibility tool: Steam Play
Steam play is no longer loading Vulkan to load ANY games, i was able to run 7 days to die with GL Core. I believe this issue may have been due to the update today, as ive played for hours since the last update and had no issue.
This issue is not limited to Beam NG, but nearly all of my games.
It appears vulkan will start to load shaders for a split second before the window closes and the game closes.
beam NG says that i may not have a compatible graphics card, after over 100hrs on record on this graphics card with vulkan.
As you can see, i reported this issue to steam support the day of the recent patch, the response was useless and pointed me here. The support agent insinuated that the hardware isnt compatible or that beam ng doesnt support steam play, although i stated that it broke all but one of my 31 games. I have many hours on beam ng, im not really asking a question, nothing else on my computer changed.
The patch broke vulkan, im just letting you guys know.
I ran (in terminal):
sudo apt remove --purge mesa-vulkan-drivers
then
Shutdown PC / Boot after 30 sec
and
sudo apt install mesa-vulkan-drivers
Everything works again.
