The game and Steam client both crash upon acknowledging the error dialog. #### Note: The game previously worked fine in mid October 2025. Sometime between mid October 2025 and December 2025 the game developed this issue. ## Reproduction - Start the game - Have a friend host a lobby - Attempt to join the friend's lobby - Receive an error dialog - The game and Steam client both crash

Symptoms

@nightsky30 are you using steam client beta? try going back to stable if so

Seems like it is a Steam client issue. Switching to stable did fix the lobby connection issues, and I found this report for the Steam beta client with an unrelated game: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/12592

@nightsky30 There was a steam beta update today, it fixed the issue affecting nightreign at the very least, so endless alice might have been fixed as well
