The game does not start

Reproduction

  1. in the settings of the game gothic 1 classic on steam, you can select the beta channel "unrealbeta - Gothic Classic in Unreal".
  2. proton-10.0-3 - black screen where the cursor is visible
  3. proton-8.0-5 - the game starts, but the control in the menu only works with the steam button pressed, when the game starts, the game trailer loads with a black screen, but the sound works and after it ends, you can play
  4. proton-experimental white screen

the game seems to be working fine on my deck oled with 3.7.17 and my desktop with both proton 10 and experimental (menu, video, gameplay work as does the cursor) didn't really play much, but the game is starting on my end.

does the mesa driver and kernel have to be that old? Did you run the normal version of the game or unreal?
