Hi, You will get a little frustrated with me, as I am such an ignoramus when it comes to technology.
I have age of empires II definitive version and the loading videos freeze on my screen and then it crashes. I did the whole "
click the gear icon
click properties
installed files
verify integrity....yadda yadda yadda
it found 19000 odd files missing so down loaded them.
I restarted my laptop and started up the game.
it still crashes whats going on?
Proton version I could find said "experimental"
I have no idea what I am doing on this stupid laptop!!
I just want to kill time playing a very VERY old game!!!
Below is my initial issue, and the hopelessly unhelpful reply lead me to ask who ever this thing is!!!
Much love. Kindest regards, please take pity on a moron!

Game launched via compatibility tool: Steam Play
Hi, my screen freezes on the loading image (blue archer, knight cavalry in the background) but when I go to select desktop on ubuntu, it shows the main game menu? I cannot get to the main mene because when I select the desktop with the main game menu the blue army image remains up
