Hello @PosturingDestitution, we're using one issue report per unofficially supported game title, so I've gone ahead and transferred this issue report to https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/8020#issuecomment-3792905222.

Title:
Deadlock fails to launch on Linux (GTX 1060) after recent lighting update
Description:
Deadlock no longer launches on Linux after the recent lighting update.
System details:
OS: Linux Mint 22.2 (Ubuntu 24.04 base)
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060 (Pascal)
Driver: NVIDIA 535.xx
CPU: x86_64
Steam Play: Proton
Behavior:
Game launches and displays the initial loading/splash screen (slightly blurry / low-res)
Mouse transitions from desktop cursor to in-game cursor
Splash screen disappears
Game exits cleanly with no error message or crash dialog
Additional observations:
Proton 10 reaches the loading screen, then exits as described
Proton Experimental fails earlier (no loading screen)
Issue occurs regardless of DX11/DX12/Vulkan launch options
Clearing shader cache and Proton prefix does not resolve the issue
Game worked on this system prior to the recent lighting update
Conclusion:
This appears to be a renderer regression affecting Linux systems with GTX 10-series (Pascal) GPUs, occurring during the transition from splash screen renderer to in-game renderer.
