Command post not working possibly due to dotnet requirement and 32bit libraries.

Hello! So I'm trying to run CNC3: Kanes wrath through a launcher known as command post. Command post requires dotnet48 & 40. It gives me a warning that wine does not support dotnet outside of 32bit prefixes. So when I try launching command post using "WINEPREFIX="path/to/prefix" "path/to/wine" "path/to/commandpost.exe" ". Command post launches but I get an error saying rundll32.exe could not launch application. Now I can kind of use command post but the start game button fails to work. I was thinking maybe a 32bit prefix would fix this but I dont know how to do that.

Proton ver & Game store:
i have tried proton 9-0-4 as well as the latest glorious eggroll version. Also I have the steam version of the game.

Additional info:

  1. When command post is on, I cant launch the game normally by running it through wine or steam but I can launch it by going into browse folder and double clicking the game.
  2. If I launch the game on steam first then launch command post then my game does not crash but again the start button changes to an exit game button and it still does not work.

I know this is not a proton specific issue but I would be grateful if you can help me solve this issue. Any insight would be very helpful.

Hello @ashgaming322-lang, we're using one issue report per unofficially supported game title, so I've gone ahead and transferred this issue report to https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/477#issuecomment-4009228091.
