Tested Game: Cyberpunk 2077
Tested Proton Version: 10.0-4, Experimental, various 3rd party versions
My computer starts up an OpenXR server on boot (Wivrn using xrizer). Ever since last night, while this server is running, regular non-VR titles will refuse to launch until the server is killed. This happens regardless of Proton version, if the game was launched through Steam, or even if Steam is running.
The log below shows what happens when trying to launch Cyberpunk while the VR server is running (using regular Proton 10.0-4). The compatdata folder for Cyberpunk was deleted prior to running. The last line is me hitting the "Stop" button in steam.
Obviously I imagine this is for playing non-VR games in a VR space, but this is very inconvenient for normal users. This PC is portable and I occasionally take it to others homes as a sort of portable VR arcade with no monitor so having this VR server is an easy way to connect to it without any other peripherals.
