Update: just swapping out the GPU for an Raden RX6700XT seems to work (even on kernel 7.0.0).
I started steam from the cli. The odd thing i noticed was that unhandled exception in the Windows.Foundation.UniversalApiContract:

Idk whether thats somewhat useful.
mangohud %command% /WineDetectionEnabled:False
I’m experiencing the same issue as user @fschaupp: the game starts, loads the shaders, I configure the monitor, accept the EULA, and then a “Loading” screen appears. At 25%, it freezes. I’ve tried it with the latest version of Proton CachyOS and Proton Experimental, with the same result.
I’m attaching a screenshot of the moment and the logs from both Proton versions.

ProtonExperimental-steam-3357650.log
mangohud %command% /WineDetectionEnabled:False
Have you tried without this arg? I removed it, rebooted my PC, and it launches and plays. I can't enable HDR or Raytracing tho.
Thanks — disabling /WineDetectionEnabled:False works, but it’s a shame that doing so disables Ray Tracing, Path Tracing, and Ray Reconstruction. It’s also curious that it fails here, but in RE: Requiem it works fine with /WineDetectionEnabled:False.

for me nothing seems to work so far with or without /WineDetectionEnabled:False but in my case i am using a nvidia gpu RTX 5070 Super Laptop GPU with 580.142 Drivers while it works fine on my AMD Driven Desktop PC.

for me the option seems to only enable ray tracing itself neither path tracing or ray reconstruction
Trough the game is still extremly unstable on nvidia and will often crash during the startup of the game.
ok turns out there was an issue with the enviroment variables i pass to steam after fixing that now the game starts normally
I managed now to get the game to run with /WINEDEtectionEnabled:False with the newest cachyos proton version Raytracing works but Path reconstruction crashes the game
Is ray tracing expected to be functional on AMD? The options are disabled for me. (I'm using CachyOS' Proton and the 26.0.5 mesa drivers on the 6.19 kernel.) I just don't know what's Nvidia-exclusive and what isn't.
Path tracing crashes the game as well for me, on Nvidia. Doesn't seem to matter what arguments I give the game.
Game launches and plays fine, passing any arguments such as
%command% /WineDetectionEnabled:False
Causes the game to be unable to launch, "GPU Unsupported" error when launching
HDR, Raytracing, Path-Tracing etc. do not work.

the game detects if you are using wine/proton and deactivates raytracing as an option you can get around that with the /WineDetectionEnabled:False launch argument and it works fine on amd gpu's but on nvidia its super unstable with or without raytracing.

yeah i have managed to get the game to launch on nvidia with the those launcharguments with either proton experimental or some of the newest cachy proton version but its super unstable and will often just crash during loading of the title screen best i can tell you to avoid that seems to be to not skip anything and with a bit of luck you might get trough but its very much not guranteed. (basically don't touch your controller or keyboard/mouse until you are at the title screen)
I've encountered an issue where when talking to Cabin (the robot in the Shelter) or using Escape Hatch (climbing down the ladder), the camera glitches out a bit. Has anyone seen something like that?

I've had the same issue with a glitchy screen while talking to Cabin on both the Steam Deck and my Linux desktop as follows
Using Proton experimental

I can run it with /WineDetectionEnabled:False and proton Hotfix on RTX 5060 Ti and 580.142.
For me RT works, but as soon as I select Path tracing the game crush
Getting the same texture disappearing issue as Monster Hunter Wilds had, using Proton Experimental, no additional arguments. All graphics settings on max. Nvidia GTX 4080 Super
Pragmata Path Tracing option causes crash when toggled on

Game runs perfectly fine otherwise, but as soon as I try to enable Path Tracing toggle in the settings menu, game crashes. There's other folks having the same issue on the Reddit as well. Driver 580 seems to be the most stable. 590 is the newest one available to my distro, and that one causes severe shadow z-plane fighting and vertex explosions in various games, so I cannot use that.
Just run the game and try to enable Path Tracing. The game crashes instantly at the menu. Also I have to use "/WineDetectionEnabled:False" to be able to use the Ray Tracing option. I don't think there is any distro that this has been reported working on?
Steam Deck
game runs fine, but the image is so incredibly noisy. looks like theres been a film grain filter or something. very annoying.
is there any fix?
the artifacting is especially noticeable on character faces, but also happens to all shadows. i am unable to find the setting to turn shadows off.
i play with all frame-gen, upscaling, and other gross things turned off.
@Flat Getting the same disappearing texture issue you are. Starts flashing right when you boot the game and load into the shelter. Sometimes it fixes itself, other times it stays. I have to reboot the game once or twice and then the problem disappears until the next launch.
Pragmata (3357650): Assertion failed in winevulkan/loader_thunks.c (vkGetPastPresentationTimingEXT)

Log:
After a recent system update on CachyOS, Pragmata (AppID: 3357650) fails to launch with a Wine assertion error. This was working correctly prior to the update.
A Windows-style "Assertion failed!" popup appears immediately upon launch:File: ./dlls/winevulkan/loader_thunks.cLine: 5414Expression: "!status && "vkGetPastPresentationTimingEXT""
Launch Pragmata from Steam on a current CachyOS installation. The game process starts but immediately displays the assertion error popup before any video output.

I would like to update my report: Path Tracing is now fully working since the updated Nvidia driver vers. 595.58.03. I use launch parameter "/WineDetectionEnabled:False" with Proton Hotfix.
Nothing was resolved with the new drivers on my end. Still crashing before main menu with /WineDetectionEnabled:False enabled. I tried both Proton Experimental and Hotfix.
