Symptoms

This issue has been there for a few years now and used to work, this happens to multiple versions of proton I have tested, it seems to think that a file in proton is unverified and therefore disables EAC as if it can't be used when this is a false flag in the game. I would love to be able to play the game via proton as DXVK performs better then GLcore in the game also we are missing features like FSR for example which is only available on the native version if you use Vulkan which is unusable and not ready for use yet on Windows/Linux.

Launch game via proton, and you will get this error

Reproduction

Play game via proton

Hello @coreybruce, we're using one issue report per unofficially supported game title, so I've gone ahead and transferred this issue report to https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/2845#issuecomment-4296136261.
