Symptoms

The game fails to launch specifically on Proton 11.0 (Beta). When attempting to start the game, it either immediately crashes back to the Steam library or stays on a black screen without proceeding to the title.

Regression Status:

• Proton 11.0 (Beta): Not launching.
• Proton 10.0-4: Working fine.
• GE-Proton: Working fine.

Reproduction

1. Install GIRLS' FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM (AppID: 3308670) on Steam Deck OLED.
2. Ensure Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is installed within the prefix (required for the launcher).
3. Set the compatibility tool to Proton 11.0 (Beta).
4. Launch the game.
5. Observe that the game crashes immediately.
6. Switch the compatibility tool back to Proton 10.0-4 and confirm it launches correctly.
