  • Steam AppID of the game: 2229840

System Information

  • GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000
  • Video driver version: Mesa 25.2.7
  • Kernel version: 6.17.9
  • Link to full system information report as Gist:
  • Proton version: 10.0, Experimental

I confirm:

  • [x] that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • [x] that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

The graphics freeze randomly and do not "unfreeze". The sound is still working and it seems the game is still running in the background.

This might be a regression as someone else seemed to manage to run the game 2 years ago.

On ProtonDB people seem to use cnc-draw to get the game working. If this is truly required, this should be automagically installed/configured when installing the game in Steam.

Reproduction

Play the game, and the bug occurs within a few minutes. Unfortunately I cannot find a better way to reproduce this.

Hello @Steap, unfortunately the Vulkan driver for your Ivybridge generation Intel graphics provides an incomplete implementation of the graphics API and using the PROTON_USE_WINED3D runtime option is not considered supported, which makes your system unsupportable in general for Proton. This is something you'd need to reproduce with a vanilla wine install and report your findings to the upstream wine project so they can take a look.
