I can reproduce an issue with controller rumble/vibration on my SteamOS gaming PC.
System:
Both Hogwarts Legacy and Gothic 1 Remake are running with Proton Experimental.
The controller's rumble/vibration works correctly in Hogwarts Legacy, but does not work in Gothic 1 Remake.
This happens on the same SteamOS system with the same controller and the same Proton compatibility tool.
Boot into SteamOS Gaming Mode.
Connect a Nacon REVOLUTION X Unlimited controller.
Configure both Hogwarts Legacy and Gothic 1 Remake to use Proton Experimental.
Start Hogwarts Legacy and play until controller rumble/vibration is triggered.
Observe that rumble/vibration works correctly.
Exit Hogwarts Legacy.
Start Gothic 1 Remake using the same SteamOS system, controller, and Proton Experimental.
Play in situations where controller rumble/vibration would normally be expected.
Observe that no rumble/vibration feedback is felt.
Repeat the test using:
The lack of vibration in Gothic 1 Remake remains present with both connection methods.

On Fedora 44 / GNOME Wayland / Steam Flatpak, Gothic 1 Remake detects and/or uses incorrect XWayland desktop dimensions when GNOME fractional scaling is enabled on a 4K primary monitor.
With the primary 3840x2160 monitor set to 125% GNOME display scaling, Steam logs report:
In this state, the game appears to enter a runaway high-resolution path in seamless/borderless fullscreen. The in-game resolution selector is locked/greyed out, and performance is extremely poor.
Changing GNOME display scaling for the 4K monitor from 125% to 100% makes Steam report the expected physical primary monitor size:
This fixes the runaway
6144x3456resolution issue.Even after that workaround, performance is still lower than expected for the hardware. At 3840x2160 with DLSS set to Balanced in-game and several expensive settings reduced, performance is often around the 50 FPS range outdoors, only briefly exceeding 60 FPS in simpler/indoor scenes.

However, it did not solve the in-game seamless/borderless resolution behavior. Windowed mode respected configured resolutions such as 2560x1440, but switching/maximizing/fullscreening the game caused it to return to the incorrect high-resolution path when GNOME fractional scaling was active.
