Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

SteamVR Tutorial is very low resolution in left eye.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Start SteamVR
  2. Start VR Tutorial from SteamVR console
  3. Close left eye, see the proper resolution in the right eye.
  4. Close right eye, see very low resolution in the left eye.

@serk7 I can confirm this behavior as well. Although I didn't get far enough since my left eye was getting too fatigued.

@serk7, @aronschatz please comment also on #18 if you have the same trackpads issue. And if your controllers are blue during the tutorial and you don't see the trigger or trackpad animation when you press/touch them, please comment also on #17.

@aronschatz beside the low resolution on the left eye, have you noticed any issue with the tracking of the HMD and controllers? For me isn't smooth and instant like it is on Windows and makes the experience really unpleasant (like you, I can't stay in VR for long).

If you have or think you may have also this problem please write a comment in #21.

I'm not noticing this issue - but it's hard to tell because I'm distracted by the tracking delay.

ye, i have tracking delay and left eye low resolution and robot facing wrong direction and no trackpad working. But trackpad doesnt work only at tutorial.

I can confirm that left-eye is lower resolution & blurrier than right eye during the VR tutorial. The SteamVR environment, however, shows both fine. [Ubuntu 16.10 x64]

I tested this against the latest build of SteamVR and the problem still remains. It looks like anti-aliasing is doing something wrong since the entire left eye looks VERY aliased. It is causing the resolution to seem lower in the left eye since it is so blocky.

The March 10th build of SteamVR still exhibits this problem.

Looks fine for me right now. Can you test again?

I tested this last night and this particular issue seems to have been resolved.

When I launch the VR Tutorial, it crashes right away. How are you able to launch it?

Nothing extracted yet.
