Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
There appears to be a regression with Steam VR Beta 1.29 related to the VR dashboard. Upon starting up Steam VR (not even necessarily Steam VR Home, just the plain white dome), you can use the Vive Wand to bring up the VR dashboard (via the system button). The VR dashboard does appear the first time you press the system button. You can navigate the VR dashboard without any problems. You can also close the VR dashboard again by pressing the system button again.
The problem occurs when attempting to summon the VR dashboard a second time. If you press the system button, the VR dashboard never appears. In addition, after 5 seconds, the entire HMD will "lock up" for about 10-15 seconds. After then the HMD will start tracking again but performance is terrible. This is especially noticeable in an application like Steam VR Home. After this point you will be unable to summon the VR dashboard until you terminate and restart Steam VR.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Start Steam VR Beta 1.29. You don't necessarily need to start Steam VR Home, the problem will exhibit itself even in the plain "white dome" that's displayed when starting Steam VR by itself.
Press the system button on the Vive Wand to bring up the VR dashboard.
Press the system button again to close the VR dashboard.
Press the system button again to attempt to bring up the VR dashboard for a second time.
The VR dashboard will never appear a second time, and you will be unable to summon the VR dashboard again until you quit Steam VR and restart the application. In addition the HMD will "lock up" for 5-10 seconds and performance thereafter will be terrible.
