Describe the bug
I used to play Star Wars Squadron in VR with an xbox controller. It does not work any more. If I launch the game in flatscreen mode, it works.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Plug an xbox controller
2. Launch SteamVR
3. Launch Star Wars Squadron

Expected behavior
You cannot interact with the controller, but using the keyboard is working.

Additional context
Changing Proton version does not solve the problem. I tried versions 7, 8, 9, experimental.
