Describe the bug
The settings menu is almost entirely useless. I've tried several things like restarts and nothing is working. I get the OpenXR and Startup/Shutdown tabs but nothing else.
I can't access the dashboard either. Pressing on the left stick (which is apparently what you're supposed to do to open the dashboard) does nothing. There's also nothing resembling a menu on the "idle space" with the gridlines.
Motion is extremely jittery, which I'm hoping that I can resolve in the VR settings or by just getting them to show.
All this makes SteamVR borderline unusable

To Reproduce
Try to open the dashboard, or do anything like setting refresh rates (aka use a tab that doesn't exist)

Expected behavior
Show the dashboard, show all settings

System Information (please complete the following information):
Please use the latest Steam beta client and SteamVR beta for your bug reports!

Edit: I had found a command earlier: ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/bin/vrpathreg.sh setruntime ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/steamxr_linux64.json this seems to have fixed the settings problem, but the dashboard is still unreachable
Edit 2: ah. The settings thing is in fact not persistent and the still unfixed random settings gone bug: #328

apparently I'm stupid. The system button is the knuckles' power button. That is the button that opens the dashboard...

Nothing extracted yet.
