This appears to apply to Windows as well
SteamVR 2.14.4 has a bug fix that mentions OpenXR games not launching, so I just tried in case it was somehow related. The game still won't launch.
SteamVR 2.12.13 still works.

I believe Euro Truck is OpenVR no?
It was OpenVR originally, but since the 1.50 patch, they support OpenXR if you use the -openxr launch parameter, and it's the recommended mode. More details in the official thread: https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=330624

Ohh! Thanks for the info actually, I had a launch argument set to -openvr I think I needed to use that to get the game to even launch in VR at some point, I will be switching that next time I play ❤️
I have the same issue.
ETS2 fails to launch with -openxr (works on -openvr) in the current SteamVR release.
It was working fine in the previous version.
I use arch linux with KDE and zen linux core.

Describe the bug
After SteamVR's update to 2.13.7, Euro Truck Simulator 2 crashes on launch in VR. It briefly shows a window on the desktop, and then immediately crashes.
Switching SteamVR to previous branch (2.12.13) allows the game to launch again.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
oculus - Oculus+OpenVR+OpenXR - 1.56-openxropenvr_api.dllfile inEuro Truck Simulator 2/bin/win_x64/with this version from OpenComposite to use OpenXR instead of OpenVR (I'm not sure if this step is necessary anymore, I set this up a while ago, maybe now the game will use OpenXR with just the launch option).NoneorbetaPlay Euro Truck Simulator 2(notLaunch with DirectX11, notLaunch with OpenGL, notLaunch in safe mode)Expected behavior
After waiting a little bit, the game window shows up on the desktop, and the game runs in VR.

Additional context
I'm playing on a Pico 4, using ALVR on Fedora 43.
Trying different Proton versions doesn't make any difference.
SteamVR current beta version is 2.13.7, so switching between "beta" branch or "none" makes no difference.
Only switching back to the previous SteamVR branch (2.12.13) solves the crash.
