The game Euro Truck Simulator 2 defaults to minimal settings. When updating the settings such as render scale from 50% to any other value it crashes SteamVR

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Set Euro Truck Simulator to Game Version "oculus (Oculus+OpenVR+OpenXR)"
  2. Set Launch Options to "-openxr"
  3. With the headset on and inside SteamVR, open the game
  4. After it loads, go to Settings -> Graphics
  5. Change any setting such as the preset.
  6. Observe SteamVR crash and display a message to close or restart

The game usually stutters a bit when changing the setting in non-vr mode. But recovers and is playable.
On vr mode it simply crashes SteamVR.

I can reproduce this, so I'll see if I can't find a good fix for it. FWIW, it's initializing a new OpenXR session without tearing down the old one every time you change a graphics setting, which is giving vrlink what I would politely refer to as "indigestion."

I suspect this means it will not happen with a wired headset.

Thanks for reporting - this will be fixed in the next SteamVR beta update.

I'm going to close this issue for now, but please let us know if it's still causing problems after the update, and we can reopen.
