Additional context
I am using a PSVR2 with the latest versions of community drivers like the PSVR2 Toolkit and Ignition.
For my testing I used the Beta version of SteamVR and have tested both the unmodified official version of SteamVR and have tried applying some community "fixes". Both give the same result.
I have also tried using developer mode with the Legacy X11 desktop, but this one couldn't even open SteamVR properly.
Describe the bug
SteamVR can't connect to window manager. Happening on SteamOS stable branch and the latest Beta SteamOS 3.8.16
