Hey, guys!

When launching the game from the steam's game library / desktop launcher / bash the home screen of the game just flashes for a moment and disappears. No error dialogs, no debug information in the console.

I can get some more debug info or logs if necessary. Just give me some pointers where I can find them :)

P.S. I've tried the -window start up option and the result was the same as before.

EDITED:

Just fixed the problem. It was related to the installation of the NVIDIA proprietary drivers. They install 32bit OpenGL compatibility drivers and remove the conflicting libs from the package libgl1-mesa-glx:i386.

The solution was to link the steam binaries steamui.so to the libs in

/emul/ia32-linux/usr/lib
