Your system information

  • Steam client version (build number or date): 1696019606
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Fedora
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: No
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
  • GPU: AMD 7900 XTX

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Non-Steam games installed on Steam client A show up on Steam client B as being able to be streamed; however, none of the custom library assets are loaded on Steam client B (hero, poster, logo, icon); only a grey blank box appears

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Install non steam game on Steam client A
  2. Add custom library assets for the non-steam game on Steam client A (hero, poster, logo, icon)
  3. Setup streaming from Steam client A to Steam client B
  4. Access the library of Steam client B and select the game to be streamed (usually default if not locally installed)

Notice that Steam client A has custom library assets loaded, but Steam client B does not.

Ideally, the Steam client streaming the game should initiate a store library asset transfer, and if it is not a valid store game, try to initiate a library asset transfer from the streaming server; if library assets are still not transferred, then default to the grey boxes.
