Does setting the LED brightness to 0 work with other tools? I'm wondering if the controller just doesn't support it properly.
I managed to install OpenRGB and test this; it seems setting it to the darkest value there also does this, so perhaps it's just the controller for some reason :/
Which is weird, because I'd have though "just turn off the light" wouldn't/shouldn't be complicated.
Update: Recently bought an official DS4/PS4 controller and it happens only via bluetooth (light turns off properly when plugged-in wired); not sure why

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
Using this 3rd party PS4/DS4 controller, Steam's PS4 lightbar calibration doesn't function as it should.
Namely, when setting the light to 0%, for conserving the battery, the controller instead lights up completely as though it were set to 100%. The trade-off for the problem is to set it to 1%, but it remains "dimly lit" rather than "basically off."
