Have you checked for updates in Settings > System?: Yes
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
I expected that once updated from one major version to another, the authorization would stay because my steam deck is authorized under my friend's shared library stuff. It however did not. Logging back into my friend's account fixes the issue, but it shouldn't be needed every time a major update comes out, it should only apply if you wipe SteamOS and reinstall it or if the device is factory fresh. Please fix this, it does become a small annoyance.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Update SteamOS from one major update (e.g 3.4.11 > 3.5) to another major update while being authorized into another person's shared library, both account and device.
Check any game from the shared library.
You should see a 'Purchase' button instead of the play button despite still being authorized and the only thing changing is the SteamOS / Steam Client version.
Hello @bookwormtea, this reads more like an issue on the Steam client's side than an issue with SteamOS as a platform, so I've transferred this issue report to the steam-for-linux issue tracker.
