A number of games that aren't actually available yet on Linux through Steam (Bit.Trip Runner, LIMBO, Braid, and many others) are listed in Linux Games along with games that are released and playable. As I understand it (and please correct me if I'm wrong), this is intentional behavior designed to allow those testing prerelease Linux builds to download them.
At present, though, this is misleading for most of us, who don't know at a glance whether these games are out or not. More problematically, when the user attempts to launch these games they get an error that could easily indicate some kind of download error or problem with the build (rather than a game that simply hasn't come out yet). This is generating unnecessary noise on this GitHub page and on many game forums, where many users unfamiliar with this functionality are concerned that their games are somehow broken. Is there any way that Steam could distinguish between games in private beta and games with available public builds, and perhaps hide the former by default?
Games that appear in the list but aren’t accessible are still in private beta. If you follow this link to duplicate #28 you will find more discussion about the issue.
