In Windows, I used to have this problem where the mouse cursor would suddenly appear in the middle of my screen while playing. To counter this, I ran cl_software_cursor 1 from the console. This solved the problem on Windows, but once settings got synchronised to my Steam for Linux installation, the menu became uncontrollable.
I get the main menu, but my cursor is invisible. By tracking mouse movements I saw that the invisible cursor always jumped back to the middle of the game window, so I couldn't click anything.
So I tried to control it using the arrow keys; No problem, I can select menu buttons.... Only how do I confirm my selection? Enter and space didn't do the trick.

In case it matters: 2 screens, 1280x1024, nvidia-experimental-310

I had a similar issue -- TF2 would come up in windowed mode on one of the two monitors I have hooked up. None of the buttons would respond. I was able to work around the issue by disabling the launcher on my smaller display. This seems to have forced my primary display to be the one with the launcher, and TF2 then started in full screen mode, and worked just fine.

I'm using ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bit, intel i5 ivybridge, 8 gb ram, nvidia 660 TI using nvidia-current drivers installed on 1/06/2013 ( I think thats the 304 series of drivers) .

I played on a few servers, and all functionality seemed to be present. As a side note, on max settings I was getting around 60fps in high-action situations. Woot

This should be fixed in the release that just went out today. Thanks.
