i come from the SteamDeck discord among issues folks have had one i find particularly annoying
is folks applying Proton to things to which it cannot apply like shortcuts added by other launchers
so would be nice if we could tell at a glance what is & isn't a shortcut
sometimes i myself get confused by this
Windows has the arrow on the icon i to indicate a shortcut i did not notice how or if Steam indicates the difference outside of the non-steam library section(even though most of those would end up managed by Steam so it's really unclear)

i guess a simple file type check would help or even an executable flag check or both
since Windows executable to which proton can apply aren't usually marked as executable
while Linux executable/scripts for which Proton cannot be used are
