I'm using Linux Mint with i3wm, everything was fine before the last update.
Since then, I can't start my Steam up, it always crashes as the Steam run time crashes itself

CAppInfoCacheReadFromDiskThread took 17 milliseconds to initialize

And every time it crashes, I notice this log in dmesg

[Wed Dec 20 00:13:15 2023] traps: Chrome_IOThread[342628] trap invalid opcode ip:7f7c6de3e774 sp:7f7c64452b50 error:0 in libcef.so[7f7c6b552000+7770000]

It's even weirder when I switch to Cinnamon DE on the same machine then it all works just fine.

not an issue, turns out that my polybar's module accidentally kills steam. I fixed the module and everything is back to normal.

Nothing extracted yet.
