Hi. Previously TF2 Beta and TF2 are working but now, they are crashes when I trying to startup the game. I can only see white "Loading..." screen. Even I can not see the game menu. I see "Valve" and "powered by source" advertisements. After that, a white "Loading..." screen comes aaand it's gone :D

When this problem appeared I was using nvidia experimental 310 driver. I removed it and installed 310.32 driver from Nvidia's website. But didn't fixed the problem. I also tried -novid and -nojoy parameters but didn't fixed too.

Do you have a crashid for this anywhere? Thanks.

?ghost 2013-01-29 github

I wrote everything I know about problem. So I do not have a crashid for this. Is there a way to get a crashid?

Mmikesart 2013-01-29 github

In the Steam / System Information dialog towards the bottom of the text, does it have something like this:

Recent Failure Reports:
Mon Jan 21 22:10:48 2013 GMT: file ''/tmp/dumps/crash_20130121141047_1.dmp'', upload yes: ''CrashID=bp-8e80b943-26f0-4e92-90f2-8302b2130121''

That CrashID is what I'm looking for. Although actually, it doesn't look like you're crashing:

Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-close.c: 759: _dl_close: Assertion `map->l_init_called' failed!

Can you do the "verify integrity of game content..." on TF2? And if that passes, launch the game with strace to see what .so it's failing to load maybe?

Thanks.

?ghost 2013-01-30 github

Unfortunately there is no recent failure report in Steam / System Information dialog. I verified game content and passed.

I ran this command

strace -o /home/dogukan/file steam steam://rungameid/440

Strace messages were very long so I pasted them here: http://pastebin.com/NPfCJHNY

Comment unrelated to bug: I’ve seen Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-close.c: 759: _dl_close: Assertionmap->l_init_called' failed!` a few times while exiting games, but havent found a way to reliable reproduce, not sure its exclusive to TF2.
