The Steam application uses so much and i believe unnecessary resources, both on Windows and Linux; i swear every time i open up Steam and forget it was open in the background i end up wondering why my CPU fan is going crazy and it's always & of course Steam doing God knows what in the background, using an unexpectedly high amount of resources. No other game launcher does that, i know Steam also does proton shader caching stuff at times in the background but even when that's turned off the resource use of the Steam app is once again unnecessarily high and once again on Windows too so there's no need for any Proton stuff on there. No other game launcher uses this much resources, please fix your app or stop mining bitcoin or something on my CPU, Valve.
