Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Firstly, steam on first launch after the loading screen disappears doesn't appear

Secondly, closing a steam subwindow causes kwin_x11 crash. Also, after exiting steam it still happens, for e.g. when using the Shift+Alt+F12 shortcut on KDE (blocks the compositor) although I closed steam beforehand.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

Open settings and close them or use the Shift+Alt+F12 keybind on KDE after opening steam
