I don't have an answer for why this happens, it just does.
Steam usually recovers itself after 20 seconds, but it is really bothersome having to wait for steam to recover.
I said 'spam' but sometimes it does happen with a single click.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Log in to Steam
  2. Right click and left click spam till you get lucky
  3. Get a "steam is not responding" message or outright get a crash.

On Fedora Workstation 40, Steam client version 1721173382 (seems to be latest since I checked for updates), haven't opted into the beta, have checked for system updates, and running AMD (780M integrated graphics) as well. Facing the same issue.
