Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I never had lsolf installed previously but I remember the steam client always having issued "warnings" about this on the command line output:
sh: Line 1: lsof: Command not found.
However the steam client worked fine so far without, after applying todays beta update I initially thought steam would't work anymore at all, I got the tray icon, I could interact with it, but I couldn't open any actual steam client windows, reading repeating messages
sh: Line 1: lsof: Command not found.
on the command line.

So first try installing lsof and things started to work just fine again, to reproduce I uninstalled lsof again and wanted to write this bugreport that no steam window appears anymore but while writing after waiting some minutes it finally appeared, so not sure if you can call it an actual regression or not and as other distributions already have had a runtime dependency on lsof for long as far as I can see but it did work before so I just wanted to record this here if maybe someone else runs into it. Feel free to close it as downstream issue though. Also note that I've updated our distribution package for the steam client to also include lsolf as required runtime dependency: https://gitlab.exherbo.org/exherbo/games/-/commit/67d73a2032ac38e7586173131577a4133f6bfb02

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. opt in to the beta client
2. uninstall lsof if installed
3. start the beta client (1709920887) and see that you've to wait quite long for any actual steam client window to appear / be accessible
