In big picture mode muting and unmuting microphone is very slow. This is very bad for anyone needing privacy for a moment in any game with voice chat.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Press ... for the QAM
2. Navigate to Quick Settings
3. Move down to microphone
4. Press A
5. Hold Left until it's 0% (about 4 seconds)
6. Finish your conversation in peace
7. Hold right and hope you end up at an acceptable volume level for listeners

Proposition

One or more of:

• Add Y alternative button on slider which instantly toggles the mute state of the device, leaving volume level untouched
• Add chord button Steam + Y to instantly toggle mute without any other steps mid game.
• Link 'Output Volume == 0%' to automatically enable mic mute and unmute state.
