If I set the inner deadzone of a flickstick very low and then perform a 180 degree turn, I can leave it in an active state that shows up as jitter. Active in a sense that the slightest deflection can spin you. It also can be deactivated with a deflection that doesn't even show Steam input tester. I assume this bug is caused by the fact that I put the joystick in a neutral position before the slow turn has finished, but that wouldn't explain why it only happens with low inner deadzone values. Gyro might also be a contributing factor.
I previously reported this on the steam forums https://steamcommunity.com/app/1675200/discussions/1/4298195945334848946/. I'm moving all of these to github because tracking them for myself is easier here.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Set the inner deadzone of a flickstick to less that 12.5. The lower, the easier it is to reproduce
  2. Do a 180 turn with the inner deadzone and quickly return to neutral joystick position

Results

Sometimes the the flickstick forgets to turn on and is left in a jittery and active state

A 180 turn should be performed
