Have you checked for updates in Settings > System?: Yes
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
Demonstrative video: https://youtu.be/5rdi_xTWzmI
When you set the "Enable Back Grip Buttons" in the Quick settings menu, it sets Y->L4, X->L5, B->R4 and A->R5 automatically. I would argue that A and X buttons are the most commonly used buttons in most games as A is usually jump and X is usually attack. Furthermore I'd argue that your middle fingers are stronger than your ring fingers.
The setting should set X to L4 and A to R4 by default to ensure that your stronger fingers are the ones responsible for the most used buttons.
This line of thinking should also apply to the Keyboard (WASD) and Mouse template where the Space key is bound to R5 when it should be in either L4 or R4. I remember jump being more comfortable in L4 rather than R4 when playing Minecraft, but I can't remember why.
I previously reported this on the Steam Forums: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1675200/discussions/1/4038102303459504706/
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Take any gamepad template
Set "Enable Back Grip Buttons" on
Result
More frequent buttons are set to weaker fingers and less frequent to stronger fingers
Expected
More frequently used buttons should be under stronger fingers.
