In the original On Screen Keyboard there were bindings for shift and symbol views in the back paddles. These should be be added to the current OSK as they speed up the touchpad typing immensely. Currently shift is bound to a trigger which doesn't really work with touchpad typing whereas in the back paddles it would feel natural. AltGr could also have its binding in the back paddles and its symbol selection should be expanded. Enter should also be moved away from the trigger.

When you want to erase a long string of text with the OSK, it becomes a bit of a pain. Holding the backspace button with trackpad typing does nothing past erasing one letter. Holding the X button on the controller is really slow and doesn't accelerate over time. You're better either mashing the X button or tapping the screen repeatedly.
Allow using the dpad for arrow keys. Using the OSK arrow keys can be a small nuisance occasionally. A QOL improvement to this would be to have the dpad act as arrow keys. This probably needs to be behind a mode shift as it's currently bound to moving the cursor on the keyboard. Visual glyphs to indicate the possibility would also be nice similar to backspace and shift.
Previously this was suggested here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1675200/discussions/2/3424446570296075036/
A button binding to swap the keyboard position between top and botton would also be good. Old OSK had it behind the X button if I recall correctly

Move the right trackpad area for dual trackpad typing a little bit to the left. The current areas feel a little bit awkward and one sided. It feels that I'm typing with my left hand 70% of the time. If the right trackpad area were moved a little bit to the left, enough to hit C, I think this problem would go away
