Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Demonstrative video: https://youtu.be/Ius7Jc9gK80
In the video I first set the Steam Controller in a neutral position on the table before shutting down overlay and it works normally. In the subsequent toggles I have the controller upright in front of me and tilt it 90° to a side in steam overlay and then bring it back to neutral. When I close the input configurator, it stops interupting the input so toggling the overlay no longer causes skew.
I believe this is also applies to Steam Deck. I have not tested it, but have experienced strange gyro behavior before.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Open a game that you have configured to use gyro input
  2. Open the overlay and Steam Input configurator
  3. Tilt the controller
  4. Toggle the overlay with shift+tab

Result:

The gyro input is skewed

Expected:

The gyro input should not be skewed.

This also happens when alt-tabbing

This seems to just be an issue with the old gyro setting. The current beta settings don't suffer from this. This issue can be closed once the new gyro settings finally come out of beta.

Not an issue any more with the new gyro setting
